For this game, you will need a medium size beach ball or any soft ball. You should
gather everyone in a circle. As each person receives the ball, they share one thing
about themselves. Play this game quickly to build momentum. Start by example and
hold the ball first. Tell your name and age and toss the ball to someone in the group. As
the ball goes around, have everyone share a little more.
Pass the bag around and let everyone take some. They can eat all but one. Before the game, establish what question you want each color to represent. For example; Green-what do you want to be when you grow up? Red-last part of the scriptures you read? Orange-sing, say or hum your favorite TV show theme song? Purple-what is your favorite subject in school and why? Yellow-how many people are in your family and name them? Go around the group as each person answers the question that corresponds to their color skittle. After they have answered their question they can eat their last skittle.
Make up nicknames for each family member.
Have fun, be bold, be loud! Make up a family cheer that you can use on trek.
Choose one person at a time. The family gets to ask them 7 questions about themselves.
Ask ONE question and everyone has to answer it. What superpower would you have?
Do you have a phobia? Share an embarrassing moment. Who’s your hero? What’s
your favorite breakfast cereal and why? Who is one person you would love to meet?
Everyone writes 3 to 5 little known facts about themselves on a card with their name at
the top of the card and turns them into their Ma or Pa. Each person in the group will
need a blank piece of paper numbered with how ever many people are in the group.
The Ma or Pa reads or the first card saying, “person one is....”and reads out the
description. After time has been given for people to write their guess, the Ma or Pa then
goes on to “person two is...?” and so on till all the cards have been read out. Whoever
guesses the most right is the winner.
Pair off into couples. Give each person a piece of paper and pencil. Set a timer for two
minutes. Give each partner 1 minute to interview each other. The goal is to discover
three interesting things about the opposite person. After two minutes rotate partners.
When everyone has been interviewed, read all the interesting facts about each person.
